📱 1. Mandatory Technology Use

As an employee of your employer, your employment requires the use of the following company-designated apps on your personal smartphone:

• TX Patrol™ — patrol check-ins, GPS verification, checkpoint photos
• When I Work — scheduling, clock-in/out, timekeeping
• WhatsApp — team communication during shifts

Use of these apps is a condition of employment and not optional. You were informed of this requirement before accepting your position.

📍 2. Location & Camera Access

This app requires access to your phone's GPS location and camera to verify physical presence at patrol sites.

• GPS is captured only at the moment of each checkpoint scan — not continuously
• Camera takes a mandatory live photo at each checkpoint as proof of patrol
• Your location and camera are not accessed outside your active shift
• Denying these permissions blocks you from completing check-ins and must be discussed with your supervisor immediately, as you have signed a consent form agreeing to grant them as a condition of employment

🗄 3. Data Storage & Retention

This app stores your patrol data securely. Data collected includes your name, check-in timestamps, GPS location at time of scan, checkpoint photos, shift hours, and incident notes.

• Retention period: 2 years from date of collection, then securely deleted
• Data may be kept longer only if required by law, active legal dispute, or client contract
• Access is restricted to authorized administrators only — stored with encryption
• No advertising cookies. No third-party tracking. Browser storage used only to remember your language preference

📷 4. Photos & Biometric Disclaimer

Checkpoint photos are collected as visual proof of patrol only.

✋ We do NOT perform facial recognition on any photo
✋ We do NOT extract face geometry or biometric identifiers
✋ We do NOT use AI or automated analysis on your photos
✋ We do NOT share photos with any third party

Photos are viewed by authorized administrators as visual patrol records only. This is consistent with the Texas Capture or Use of Biometric Identifiers Act (CUBI).

🔒 5. Our Privacy Promise & Your Rights

✅ We will never sell your personal information to any third party
✅ We will never share your data except as required by law
✅ No off-duty monitoring — we do not track you outside your shift
✅ Your personal device remains yours — we have no right to access, search, or control it
✅ Right to request your data — submit a written request to your supervisor. We respond within 30 days
✅ Policy updates — you will be notified of any material changes before they take effect

🆘 6. Emergency SOS

This app includes an SOS Emergency Button. Pressing it during your shift will immediately alert your supervisor with your name, time, and GPS location. Use only in genuine emergencies.

You have chosen not to agree to the terms of the TX Patrol Employee Notice.

Since use of this application is a condition of your employment with your employer, you are currently unable to access the app.

You must contact your supervisor or manager immediately to discuss this before you can begin your duties.

📞 Contact your supervisor — explain that you have a question about the TX Patrol consent notice before you can proceed.

Once your supervisor has addressed your concern, they can reset your access so you may review and accept the notice.

⚠️ GPS Location Permission Denied

This app cannot function without access to your device's GPS location and camera. These permissions are required to verify your physical presence at patrol sites and record your check-ins.

📋 You Have Already Given Consent

As an employee of your employer, you signed an Employee Acknowledgment & Consent Form prior to employment confirming your agreement to grant these permissions as a condition of using TX Patrol.

Denying these permissions prevents you from performing your patrol duties through the app and may be treated as non-compliance with your employment agreement.
